Jedi Lost ~ Shena « Thread Started on Oct 23, 2006, 2:04pm »
Star Wars setting: Post-RotS Summery: Anakin and Padmé both must deal with their loss, Obi-Wan. Longer Summery: Obi-Wan finished off Grevious quick enough. Something pulled at his senses, and he learned what the clones had done. He escaped and put all power to Coruscant, warning Master Windu on the way of Palpatine's treason.
Mace Windu says it's too late to stop Anakin, and that he had left for the Chacellor's office, and said that he would divert Anakin away from the Chancellor with a non-lethal explosion.
Anakin runs towards the explosion as soon as it happens, and finds nothing. He senses danger and takes out his lightsaber. He searched the blast area and found nothing.
Windu informed Yoda of Obi-Wan's news, and Yoda immeadiatly found an escape pod so he could travel to Coruscant.
Obi-Wan got there first. Mace Windu was busy talking to Anakin, summoning him back to the Temple. Obi-Wan entered the Chancellor's Office and faces off against Palpatine. He is struck down quickly, but not before plunging his lightsaber into the Chancellor's chest.
Obi-Wan is taken captive by the Red Guards, who are really Count Dooku's Sith Acolytes. He is tortured and starved, kept only an inch from death. He wore a mask he could not shake off, which prevented him from using Force Powers.
The War is over, and the Clones remain loyal to the Republic. A new Chancellor is placed into the ring: Bail Organa.
Anakin and everyone else both believe him to be dead. Mace Windu and Yoda both have other theories. They both send a strike-team of Jedi to find Obi-Wan. Anakin is included in that Strike Team.
The Strike Team is made up of OCs, naturally, and Mace Windu. They travel from planet-to-planet to find Anakin's old Master. They are attacked by these Dark Side apprentices, and led off-track almost all the time.
Anakin, Mace Windu, and the others must get to Obi-Wan before he is killed… or worse, turned into the next Sith Lord, with the Dark Acolytes as his apprentices. Padmé silently greivs for her friend, and becomes Chancellor Organa's advisor.
The Queen, as generous as she was, let Amidala keep her position as Senator. Padmé makes a request to meet with Yoda to discuss Obi-Wan's fate, and to ask the old Master if she may be tested for Force-Sensitivity.

DEFEATING THE GENERAL
Obi-Wan sensed Grievous’ falter in his attack. He reached foreword to grip the General’s loosened stomach plate. His yellow eyes looked down at Obi-Wan’s hands as he managed to pull the stomach plate free. Obi-Wan head felt like it would explode as Grievous planted his large metal fist beside his temple.
Stars. He saw stars.
The next moment, he was flying. Not happily soaring through the sky, but pushed backwards, over the edge of the landing platform, into the abyss below. He instictivly reached out for the ledge, grabbed it, and hung on for dear life.
Grievous cackled: Obi-Wan heard the scrape of the electrostaff return to the General’s hand. He called upon the Force, imagined it’s steady current of power flow into his mind as though he had busted down a dam. The Force worked through him, guiding his actions, just a whisper in his ear.
Grievous’ blaster flew towards his open palm with great speed as he hung on with only one hand. His index closed around the cool trigger, and he aimed. The General’s eyes widened as the laser bolt hit his exposed gutsack.
His scream was painful to hear, and made Obi-Wan wince. It was the sound of fingers scraping over a chalkboard. The General’s belly caught on fire, first. Fire blew out of his eyes, and he finally fell into what Obi-Wan hoped was a rotting Hell.
The General was no more.
Obi-Wan slowly pulled himself up, grateful to be alive. He lay on his back and just watched the sky of battleships. His side was on fire, his shin bruised, his arm probably broken, and he had a gash above his right eye. He had many more minor injuries, but he’d worry about them later.
A LAAT/e (larty) dropped below the battle. A familiar helmet brought joy to Obi-Wan’s heart. “General!” Commander Cody exclaimed, jumping off the larty. He hit the ground running, dashing for his General. “Are you hurt?”
“Nothing’s missing that I can’t bolt back on, Commander,” said Obi-Wan as he was helped to his feet, holding his injured arm close to his side.
“Sir, I believe I found something of yours,” said Cody once they were both back on the larty, heading for Obi-Wan’s flagship Fireshell. He produced Obi-Wan’s lightsaber, which Obi-Wan took gratefully.
“Thank you, friend,” said Obi-Wan.
Cody froze for a moment. Inside the home of his helmet, Obi-Wan couldn’t tell his expression. “I am sorry, General,” he said. He reached for his blaster. “It’s orders.”
Obi-Wan frowned. Cody held the blaster to his head. Obi-Wan felt the cool muzzle against his bruised temple. He felt Cody’s finger pull the trigger through the Force. But, but then, Obi-Wan had already jumped out the open cockpit door into the abyss below.
Two hours later
Obi-Wan regained conciousness. He had washed up on rock. The water was warm to his bones. Slowly, he stretched his muscles. Slowly, he climbed out of the water.
His broken arm hurt, his ribs seemed to explode upon every move. Slowly, he limped to the cave wall. He checked his comlink. Still functioning. He pressed in Mace’s code.
“This… this is Jedi… Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi…” he said, every word making him wince.
”Obi-Wan?” a grave voice answered. Windu. ”Are you injured?”
“Y…yes, Master,” he said. “Turned… turned on me, Master. The clones. Orders from Palpatine. Where’s Anakin?”
”Skywalker just left for Palpatine’s,” said Mace, his voice becoming deeper the more worried he got. ”I’ll get him out of harm’s way. Obi-Wan, are you fatally injured? Can you make it back to Coruscant?”
“I will,” he said, his voice clearer than his mind was. Do, or do not. There is no try. “Master… Master, please have Barris waiting…” Barris Offee was healer. Normally, he would not ask for a healer, but he felt dead already. “Killed Grievous, sir.”
”Hold up, Obi-Wan. I’ll get Anakin, don’t worry. Just make it here without fainting. Windu out.”
Obi-Wan was left alone to get back up the cliff side to get a ship. Then he heard a familiar squack. Boga.

OOC: Go ahead. Just remember, he's still fighting on Kashyyk, looking over the battle in the command post the Wookies set up. I'll be Chewbacca if you post for him, then. I forgot all about him.

SAYING GOODBYE TO BOGA
Obi-Wan
Every movement, no matter how small, made Obi-Wan's eyes water. He had not been prepared for the betrayal. More than once, he tried to call up the image of Qui-Gon in his mind. But Qui-Gon was lost to him, now, while he couldn't concentrate of even his scraped knuckle.
Boga scaled the walls with ease, her sharp talons digging into the wall like a sand panthar of Malastar. She was graceful, always watching out for her rider, slowing down when she felt Obi-Wan hurting more than necessary. Obi-Wan thought she must've been a Force-Sensitive animal. She was certainly a quick-learner.
Slowly, Obi-Wan climbed off of her back as they finally made it to the Seperatist landing bay while avoiding Republic attention. Was this what it felt like, hiding from the Republic, to be an outlaw? No. But... Maybe.
"Boga..." Obi-Wan said, letting the name trail off of his lips like a whisper. You have been more help than you know, my friend, he thought, touching her head with his hand, trying to make a connection. Go, now. I will not forget you. When I am finished with my business... I may come back here to see you again.
Boga's yellow eyes seemed saddened. Her three-pronged tongue shot out and licked his face. She snuggled her head on his arm, and stayed on the landing pad, finally leaving when Obi-Wan and his captured ship left the atmosphere.

A PAIN IN THE FORCE ______________________
YODA
Yoda was perched on a wooden, rotting platform high above the beaches of Kashyyk. Kashyyk was a jungle planet, home to the native Wookies. Yoda had applied to assist in the battle on Kashyyk. Wookies were scattered across the beach, patrolling the area for any Sepertists scouts. To their great relief, they found none. For the moment. The beach is the only ground that the Wookied dare place foot upon. In the jungles, they must stay above, on the platforms of their so called "citys". For below, it's as dangerous as it gets. Tenterak, Kinrath, and some worse. Only the braves warriors, or "mad claws" ever go down there.
Yoda sighed, he was concerned about Skywalker, and Palpatine. He just couldn't pin point it, but, there was something, something that Yoda could not recognize about the chancellor. Ever since he was rescued from the Invisible Hand, a dark sense of the Force surrounded him. Yoda and the other of the Jedi Council sensed it. That's why, after careful descisions, the Council had placed Anakin to spy on him.
Just then, when no one, not Yoda, not Chewbacca, nor anyone one in the galax could suspect, Yoda felt a great pain in the force. Something went wrong, but Yoda could not tell what. He just got a glimpse of what had happened. He shot a glance at the Clone Commander standing next to him. He went over to Tarrful, who was having a conversation with Chewbacca, and tapped him on the knee with his cane. The Wookie looked down. Yoda began to speak, "Tarrful, Chewie, keep an eye on the clones, you must."

CO-POST by me and Shena. Must love the email system. How could we live without it?
Troubling Signs
Cerasi
She ran a hand nervously through her hair. What was going on? She paced up and down of her small quarters. She flopped on the bed. Only stress, she thought. She reached for a book and flipped it open. She loved the texture in her hands, the smell of the pages… So much better than datapads.
Her nerves jumped.
For a second, it felt like those times when you're half-asleep and falling. But Cerasi was only on the second page. Something was about to happen, wasn't it? She ignored her holoclock that read 0300 AM, and put her boots on. She exited her quarters and hurried towards Nelani's room.
Her Padawan opened the door sleepily. She yawned a huge one right in Cerasi's face. She blinked stupidly at her Master. "Come in, ma'am," she said hurriedly, suppressing another yawn with the back of her hand.
"No," Cerasi said just as quick. "We're going out."
"We are?"
"Yeah, so come on." Cerasi picked up Nelani's boots for her and handed them to her without another word.
Nelani got dressed quickly, the tiredness gone from her face. "Where're we going?"
"To the clone barracks," Cerasi answered crisply. "Bring your distress beacon and your lightsaber."
"Are we gonna assassinate the one who stole my muja fruit? Come on, Master, I gave it to him."

Nynir
Late on Coruscant. Yes, very late indeed. Though I couldn't go to sleep, no, not yet. I felt oddly alive, and young again. Well, I could put it in those terms as being young, yes. I was restless. I was unusually restless these days, always wandering, always traveling, passing through thought, and through time, becoming even more distant than a Coruscant beetle eating breakfast.
I preferred to meditate much more, now. Funny. When, in my childhood, I would've preferred to either eat, sleep, or explore Coruscant at night. Yes, I'm through with that, though I encouraged Miss Cerasi and her Padawan to do the same. The Masters these days were too scrict, too demanding. Born in a briefcase, I preferred to put it.
I'm forty-one standard years old, and I feel older. The war's done that to me. I can't sleep, I can't concentrate properly… Yes, the war was bringing evil things to bear. Poor Obi-Wan Kenobi had more grey hairs than me!
I sat in the food hall right now, just watching the cooking droids prepare the food for tomorrow's breakfast rush. I was ignored, yes, and that gave some comfort to me. The droid's scanners already knew my heartbeat and breathing rate, or else they would've called one of the Masters to deal with me.
Somehow, I never thought being a Jedi Master could be rewarding.
A shift in the Force. A small one, big enough to disturb me, though. As I reached out, deeper, deeper… I felt young Cerasi and her Padawan, wide awake, their alertness betraying their next move. Sneaking out in the middle of the night, Cerasi? Just like old times, eh?
"How surprised would you be," I mused, "if I just happen to appear at the front door to see you off?"
I stood and stretched my arm muscles. One of the droids turned my way, and, as I left, offered me a cake pastry.
